Weapons that reduce defence
« on: September 11, 2011, 07:56:24 PM »
Some of the weapons (hedge trimmer, crossbow, etc.) say that they reduce your defence.  Is that only when you use them, or do they lower your overall defence permanently?

If it's the former, I guess they're still worth it, because they do more damage — which means less chance of the zombies being alive after to hurt you.  (Also, more damage is good if you fight in crowded locations where other players take a lot of hits for you.)

If they reduce your defence all the time, well ... that seems a bit weird, since you can't get rid of them to get the defence back.

In fight :

Total attack point = your weapon attack point + safehouse bonus
Total defense point = your armors defense point + weapon defense points + safehouse bonus

Negative points will reduce your defense if you use them but only for the current use.
So be sure to use them for the final shot and not the first shot.

But you have weapon with positive defense too.

Dr. Zombie is right. You'll notice that if you attack with a weapon with MINUS (-) defence, the zombie will do more damage to you. So it's best to attack with a higher defence weapon first, then finish off with a high attack, low defence weapon. Dead zombies don't fight back!
